Ok as you all know or might not know I own a 97 Ej8 EGP color. I just went ahead and bought some Yellow Depo Foglights and a Type R Lip. Finally.LoL. Does anyone have any DIY or pointers when installing these? Especially the lip cuz it only came with 4 screws? What's the best way to install it?

I did search and there was nothing on installing. I also went to the Faq's and didn't see anything on lip installations. My concern is am I suppose to bolt the middle part of the lip or am I ok just with the side ones? As far as the fogs I can handle my own. I might even do a write up for peeps out there.

You only actually need 2 bolts to hold the lip on. One on each side. You don't need any bolts to hold the middle of the lip.

I have two screws on each side of my lip inside the wheelwell . Seems to work ok.

As for the foglight wiring. There should be a small plugged hole under the brake master cylinder. If you go inside the car look under the drive side dash and pull the carpet back, You should see a small plug just push it out then look in the engine bay youll see where it is.

You don't need to pass any wires through the firewall. Honda wired it for you already. Look for a small plug tucked away beside your driver-side fender, behind the headlight kind of. Well, atleast that's how my 2000 Civic is...I think the 1997 is like that too...?

EDIT: There should be blue tape around it...that's how you know if its the right one or not.

You can, by popping your hood. Look on the driver side by the fender. Between the headlight and strut tower.

EDIT: The other end of that wire leads to the back of your fuse box in the driver foot-well. It is also blue-taped.

Well this is all on a 97 Ej8. So I don't know if this applies. Also I bought a Depo kit so will that still work?

Yes, it is pre-wired from factory, there is a brown plug by the windshield washer liquid reservoir, it is taped with a blue tape. I have a 97 DX and it has it the other end is right behind the fuse box, like stated before with a blue tape around it. I have a 97 DX and it has it.

Ok so far I googled it and it seens you guys are correct. But it seems it was pre-wired for the OEM fogs. Not the Depo ones. Or is it the same ****? Please someone confirm this cuz im gonna remove my bumper and fix my HIDz and install the lip and fogz.

Ok I found the brown plug with a blue wire behind the fuse box so I guess it is pre-wired. Thanx for your help so far. Now I have another Q, how and has anyone used this plug with a Depo kit. How did they manage to wire it up. Cut off the plug or what? I really wouldn't like to mess the harness up but if that's the only way then so be it I guess. But has anyone installed a Depo kit that can give me some pointers. Thanx

Put the 4 screws you got on the sides of the lip, connecting it to the bumper. then on the underside install another 2 screws. you can never be too safe

post a pic of what you got so we can see if it'll work with the stock wiring or not. Mine were Esuse fogs and they were basically plug and play. Attached harness to brown plug behind winshield washer reservoir, attached other harness to the one behind fuse box, mounted relay, found a place to ground it, plugged the other two plugs into the right place on the fuse panel, and mounted the switch. I can talk you through it if you pm me

The Depo kit doesnt use the OEM plug behind the washer reservoir. If you want to keep it plug and play that brown plug goes in the fuse panel under the driver dash in #5 spot. Its not hard. Then you just ground it to the existing ground near the hood release bracket.
