Those pistons will work, it will bump your compression ratio up a bit. Close to a type r depending on what head you use. What cams are you running? Tuning?

I think hes referring to an ECU not pistons.... I would recommend contacting your local Tuning Shop and have them Socket your ECU and tune your vehicle properly

A 99 is OBDIIa. It can't be tuned so easily. OP would have to switch to OBDI for tuning.

37820-p73-a03 is the 98-99 type r ecu. the tune will also be more spot on if you can raise your compression a bit and find a stage-1-ish set of cams

i ran a 14.9 with a catback, edelbrock header, k&n filter and a cold night. my new build should do low 14's and still get 30mpg. if you have a 98-99 car you want the ecu i listed above. there are 2 different types of obd2a type r ecu. one has the fuel pressure sensor, the other does not. if you have a 98-99 car you want a03. 96-97 will use a02 with a p73. BTW i have a spare a03 p73 i can't use since i have a 1997.
