How many miles do you ride a year?
I was talking to my cousin recently who mentioned that many people only average around 3000 miles on their bike a year. That seemed really low to me because in less than 3 months I've already put over 3000 miles on my bike and it's my first one.
So how many miles do you ride a year?

Aprox 8000 miles so far on 7 months. I'll guess I'll easily reach 15k on the rest of the year.

the first year I had mine I put about 4500 on it, this year I've only put on about 3000, seems like most people don't put that many miles on. School, work, local twisties, and the like.

I can only take so much rain and wind. You fell good about being tough, but it kind of gets old. Long as you have good gear you stay dry. One of those textile one-pice suits would be great.

It's not about being though lol, it's just that I HATE traffic. Really, I can't stand being trapped in it for too long, I get desperate. So, I'd rather get wet and arrive at my house 1 hour earlier (and have a nice hot bath with a nice hot meal) than go in the cage and be dry, but stuck in traffic.

i put myself in the 7-9000 category, but i don't actually know for sure. since march i've done around 5000 between the hawk and the vfr. winter riding is going to cut that down a lot, since i refuse to ride when there is even a hint of ice on the road

Yeah I'd be more willing to if lane splitting (or sharing) was legal, but its not so I couldn't really save any time.

That really sucks man. It's one of the things I don't know how I would react to if I were ever to live in the US.
Lane sharing is illegal in here, but even the cops on bikes do it, so it's like the Wild Wild West...everyman for himself and no law at all.

Sidewalk ridin' on downtown LA = straight gangsta
I've been wanting to get a dualsport once again, and go terrorize the streets and backroads of Caracas. Sidewalks and stairs beware!!!

I wish I could ride to work everyday, as opposed to Casual Friday's only (full suit Monday - Thursday).
I ride my bike as much as possible every weekend and sometimes in the morning before work if I feel like it.
