i've read through a bunch of articles but none have answered my question.
i just purchased some itr cf parts (cupholder, ashtray, cigarette bezel, and the piece that surrounds all of that) and i know how to remove everything except i can't seem to figure out how to take out the cigarette lighter from the old housing to install it in the carbon fiber housing.

everything else is already removed, i just need to know if anyone knows how to actually remove the cigarette lighter hardware from the plastic housing?

 

On the couple of cars that I have changed the lighter on (not hondas) you just unscrew the piece that supports it from the back and it should push right out the front. I'm pretty sure its the same for Hondas.

 

for some reason it's not that easy... i would think so too because theres no visible screws...but idk

That large part on the back, looks like a nut. Pretty sure it unscrews.

I had/have mine apart, and vaguely remember it coming apart in an odd way.

 

Gotta remove the wires first, then the back end unscrews like a large nut. Then you'll be able to slide the lighter from the front.
