I was just thinking about the headlights and wondering about buffing them out. Would it be safe to use the power ball attachment (chip foose ads) and some plastic polish/rubbing compound to clear them or would that be too harsh?
Just a thought as I was thinking that hand polishing those things seem a tad tedious.

OP, you should be able to find replacement OE taillights in the Marketplace. Any '96-'00 coupe taillights will fit your car.

That only works for some. A lot of cars will still show wear after that.
Try this one.

Hair dryer and Goo Gone.
DO NOT use a razor blade or credit card. Use a plastic razor if you need to use something.

judging by the big dent in the middle of the trunk lid, i wouldnt be all that worried the glue residue left over.
but just lower it down from monster truck status, and i think it should look pretty good.

That's just asking to get hated on.
The rims look pretty good, they'd look better if you lower the car and put a lip on the front.
As for the headlights, read the DIY write-up and follow that step for step. It might only last you a year, but it's cheaper then buying a new set.

I can't tell that there is a dent. On my computer it looks like it could just be lighting.

'96-'98 taillights on '96-'98s = <3
I looked at the thread on Eran's computer and I can see the dent. I keep my monitor darker though.
Replacing a trunk is a lot bigger deal than replacing headlights and taillight though.

If he wants OE headlights, there's a igh chance any used units will also have similar fogging.

Very true, he's better off sanding and buffing them.
I got lucky when replacing my Halos with OEM headlights, both were in pretty good condition.

i know my next step is to lower it... just gotta get the money. idk im torn about new head lights or "fixing" the ones i have. like someone said.. its almost notorious that 96-98 civic headlights are yellowed.. everyone ive seen is like that.
EDIT: yeah the dent def was there when i got the car.. im working on getting it out... it wont be perfect but itll be better than it is now
