i know that the solid blue wire from the dizzy is for the tach but do i have to splice the wire with my tach wire or can i just cut the blue wire nd butt connect it to my tach wire?
Splice the tach wire to the solid blue wire for the cluster harness. Same thing. You can butt connect it, but you'll lose your stock tach (if you have one).
Read the directions that came with the tack.
For what it's worth, we never could get an autometer tach to work in the race car.
We tried 2 autometer tacks.
