as the title states, when I'm at idle, stopped at a light or just stopped, the idle goes low to high low to high. puzzles the hell out of me. Is this bad?>

seems to me like a clogged up Idle air control valve its on the intake manifold just need to take off clean and put back it gets clogged it has a mesh filter

 

i donno but mines doing the same problem but it doesn't go up and down it just stay @ about 1300rpm i've messed around with the idle air valve, i have it where i is all the way down and if any higher i'll gradually raise up higher in rpm so right now it's all the way down and sitting on 1300.. what yal think

 

ya mines doin it too..im not to worried about it now but it is extremely annoying..

its on the back of the mani between the firewall and manifold right??

 

check for vac leaks, bad tb gasket, leaking intake mani gasket........
