Each time I wash my car I have a steady leak of water that leaves really bad water marks on the door. Anyone else have a steady leak from the driver side mirror mount after washing?

 

All FA5's do it, prolly all sedans.

it's water......wipe it off

 

u dont get it, it leaks for an hour after the cars been dry

 

Yep, happens everytime on my FG1 also.

The best possible solution is to use an air compressor or leaf blower to blow the water out.

ANYWAY, op, I know what u mean. When ur trying to get the car ready and dont want water spots/streaks all down the side of the car, ur best bet is like someone said already. Get a blower of some kind.

 

exactly, its just water that gets behind the mirror in the mirror housing and leaks out when you drive. Happens in every car, wipe it off or blow it out.

Cool, I'll just keep my portable air compressor handy when washing
