Does your gear match your bike?
It's easy to call someone a squid for obsessing over stuff like this, but I'm sure it nags at anyone who is OCD about colors / matching. That and I very rarely see anyone riding around with mis-matched gear.
I have the same (blue) leather jacket I've had for a few years, but I just got a new (yellow) bike. It kinda bugs me, but I'm not sure it bothers me enough to justify spending lots of money on a new jacket.
Is anyone else bothered by this kinda stuff, or is it just me?

I tried to keep all my gear silver/black for my f4i but once I got my rc51 I had all silver gear. When I got my sv650 and wanted to get a different jacket I decided it needed to be mostly black so it would be universal. I did that. I also have one mostly black helmet and then a crazy Suomy.

Ive always had the habit of matching, but now I'm stuck with a red jacket, a blue jacket, and a yellow helmet that I have no real use for anymore
My new rule is to go neutral as often as i can, with the helmet looking a little crazy like Blindstuff said

My last bike was all black, my current bike is all white...so I can pretty much wear whatever. But previous my gear was all red/black to kinda flow with the bike. I just ordered a new helmet, gloves, and will be ordering a new jacket now and all this stuff is pretty neutral with mostly black. If I had a bike with actual color in it, then yea I would try to match it
Some of my gear matches the bike, such as my Honda CBR jacket (thrown in for free with the bike) or by virtue of being neutral colored, but I also have a lot of gear that does not match my bike or any other bike that I have owned.
If I find a good deal on jackets or pants in my size, but they are non-bike-matching colors I buy them anyhow... who cares if it matches, it was 50% off.
A lot of my gear is black; my bike is ultra-blue-metallic/metallic-silver with a lot of black thrown in for good measure so it works just fine. I have two blue jackets that are the wrong color blue and probably look terrible, but I am not picky.
My helmets are equally mismatched, but all pretty cool looking. It seems common for helmets to be based entirely on rider preference and not their matching the bike.

My bike is maroon...so yes.
Matching gear with the bike, unless you have a racebike, looks gaudy in my opinion.

my gear matches my bike..
RC51 red, black, silver
Jacket - Red White Black
Helmet- " "
Gloves- " "
Boots- Red and black
Matches but if I get another bike or repaint the RC51, I'm not going to worry about it, just as long as I have gear I don't really care.
