+0 offset on an ep3?
Would a +0 offset look weird on an ep? Havent seen it. I currently have +20 i believe and it looks fine, but the fronts are still sunken in a little. Im new the the wheel stuff so dont quote me if I just said something stupid
I wouldn't recommend running a 0 offset, at all. Not only will you rub on bumps and be forced to roll your fenders, but offset that much is also much harder on hub/bearings.

eeeek... I may have to listen to you now todd, cus the last time i didnt you turned out right! haha. I was just looking at cheap wheels and these are only like 280 bucks shipped . Getting my 15x7 42+ PIAA fr7's next week and would mind having a set of cheap rims

If the great todd approves I may do it. I must admit though, they look sick. Just worried about the fender issue that may happen.

How??? Especially in the front as the car doesn't gain camber when the suspension is compressed. That wheel sticks a good 2" outside of the fender.
It may be that he has that silly-small 205/40/16 on a 8" wide wheel (which is kinda dangerous on that heavy of a car FWIW). Or, he smacks the bumpstops first because there is no suspension travel. Either way, It's a bad setup.
Honestly, I would not run a +0, but that's me. Too many compromises and not enough benefits, unless you like rubbing and having that 'euro VW' look.
The proper way to run a 0 offset wheel is to cut your fenders and install fender flares. That way you canput a real tire on the car and keep suspension travel.

I'm not doubting your reasoning, but supreme/bimmerfrik (the white EP above) has ran that setup for a long time. I was really interested myself in doing that setup also. Tried talking to him and basically said he didn't run into any problems. It definitly sounded like too much work so I'm prob not gonna do it.
Other people have done it too and seemed to work out but yeah its work.
I've heard going with the Sportmax 501s instead (+15) is an easier setup to maintain. Usually just have to roll the rear fenders and run negative camber.
This guy is actually selling his wheel/tire setup on ephatch. Pretty sure he's had this setup for a while too.

I disagree. 15's with a nice set of tires are way hot on an ep. But to each their own.

That's because he is running a 205/40/16 tire.
1) Tire is way too short for the car and speedo will be completely off.
OEM Diameter: 24.2"
205/40/16 Diameter: 22.5"
This also makes highway driving a high RPM affair.
2) Tire isn't meant to support a heavy car (there is a spec for this...did the dude actually check it out?)
3) The sidewall is stretched too much. Period. This will cause odd handling patterns and have the potential for dangerous handling and/or tire failure.
