Default How to polish/freshen "DOHC VTEC" on valve cover?

Basically the silver lettering is sort of oxidized and not a nice silver anymore. I was thinking of using sandpaper to bring it out, but not sure if this will work. Anyone done this? What grade sandpaper?

thanks

my friends painted their valve covers, and afterwards, sanded the letters to get the paint off..and the letters are nice n shiny..you could try the sandpaper method..just use a high grit.. smoother finish.
