Kpro is the best bang for your buck then couple it with a race header and prepare for enjoyment!

I'm going to go with an intake, keep in mind that Kpro cost roughly 1000 dollars. WHile an Intake cost an average of about 250 bucks. It also depends on what header you get, as they can range it price from 250-1400 dollars.

Hondata reflash or an intake will be the best bang 4 your $$.

Kpro is $1K and requires tuning on top of that.

For whats its worth, a turbo set up will always yield the best bang for your buck.

Turbo kit + install + KPro + Tuning = Big $$$.

It may still work out to be the best HP per dollar mod, but it is not cheap to do, at all.

Not to mention that it probably won't even last a year if you go for a ton of power on the stock bottom end (450-500whp).

NAWZ (aka NOS for those non-ricers) would be the best bang for the buck, by far (even moreso than a turbo).

But I'm trying to point him in a proper direction

not sure which route you plan on going, but if you plan on staying N/A, then look into the password:jdm intake. their chamber intake, dyno tested, is said to make about 18.1 hp and 8 tq. not sure if that is what you're looking for, but the intake goes for about $250 retail. hope that helps!

You forgot to mention that you have to buy the battery relocation kit and the battery, thus bringing the grand total up to about 500 dollars.

Actually thats a very good rate for an all motor app. But you're not gonna get 18hp from the Password intake.

well, the 18hp is based off a dyno that password:jdm did. I personally don't have experience with it, as no one here drives an ep3 or a dc5.

There is nothing wrong with running nitrous. When used properly with the right supporting mods and using kpro to control it it can be very safe and extremely effective. Best bang for your buck here: http://forums.evans-tuning.com...=5215

I did dynoes as I modded my 02 type-s. Biggest gain was from the CAI, which was also my first mod. Besides the biggest gain, it was also the most cost effective.

But you need to look at your mods as building blocks to an end gain. The mantra of i/h/e holds true. Except for the 02-04, where I think replacing that tiny exhaust before the header would be a good move.

You want a little extra cheap add in power?

Buy some 5w-30 ENEOS FULL SYNTHETIC oil. It doesn't sludge like all other oils. It's not the synthetic blend like all the other stuff, it's actualy full 100% synthetic and is legal, U.S. approved. You wont find it in your closest Vatozone or local parts store.

Comes from Japan and apparently is Japans no#1 oil. Guy who built a k20a2 swap said he actually gained extra power when he changed to that oil, which makes sense when you think about the less sludge you have the more power you can squeeze out of your motor. You can buy it online anywhere for roughly $6.99 a quart. You'll spend roughly $40 bucks in total for a "cheap" so to say gain. I'm currently about to do an oil change and use it, i already bought me some.
