ok so i just bought a 91 civic sedan EX i bought it from the original owner...the car is in inmaculate condition the weird thing is that it comes with a sohc non vtec ZC engine insted of the d16a6...i asked him about it and he said the car was never swapped thats the engine that came from the dealer...can a usdm civic ex come with a ZC engine? did i hit the jackpot with this car?....pics later today..

 

regardless of what the owner said i'd say its been swapped before to an engine that is similar to the original if another replacement wasnt available. he may have gotten work done somewere and instead of replacing it with the same exact motor tossed that in. i dont see any problem as long as its healthy.
