Default in dash DVD brake wire question

Okay, I know it's both illegal and unsafe to watch DVDs and TV while driving which, since I am pro literacy, I read the paper or Playboy while driving to work. That said, I purchased a Pyle View PLDBT30U SINGLE DIN in dash radio/cd/dvd/bluetooth unit for our Honda Odyssey. We also got an auxillary screen for the kids to watch in back (Yeah Wiggles!). We need it to play while driving as it's the only way to shut them up, thus making driving for us safer. There is a brown wire for a backup camera I plan to hook up later, which goes to the reverse lights or shifter column wire right? And to get the dVD player to play while in motion, can I wire the grey brake wire to the red 12v ignition since the brake lights run off 12v too? Thanks!

the video unit will play on the rear screen with no issues without doing anything to the brake interface wire.

but you already knew that right?

That unit has a video out that goes to the screen for the back seat passanger. Its not effected my the driver video lock out. Follow the directions that the unit came with. There are kids in the car. No need for video on the front screen.

This is my first time installing a DVD player in a car, and the instructions are in Chinglish, I didn't see anything regarding a rear auxillary screen hookup, so I figured I'd ask since it's the weekend, and I'm hooking it up no and their help line is closed. Thanks for the help.

btw the ebrake wire needs ground not +12 to indicate "parking brake engaged"

and the reverse wire is easiest to tag in the kick panel on its way to the tail lights...
