Default fresh build started, idled, then died

I cranked over my rebuilt LS today with forged pistons and acl bearings, oil gauge shot up to 50 psi, motor idled steadily but sounded like ***, so as I'm watching the gauges inside the car 2 minutes in it suddenly just dies and i see a puff of white smoke come out from the engine bay on the intake side.

I crank it over again, and white smoke begins to bellow out of the intake side so i get out and check it over, i crank the starter from the bay, tiny bit of white smoke comes out from the throttle body.

The engine sputters and sounds like its going to start then doesn't, i'm getting fuel, and spark, timing belt looks fine.. anyone have any ideas?

you sure the timing belt didn't skip?

If the cams are timed, you have good spark, and fuel injectors are opening...thats all you need!

Closer inspection of the timing belt proved that the belt did indeed skip a few notches over. Glad my valves are still intact fixed the timing belt and it started right up!
