Default DIY Kevlar Wing for my EP3

I've always loved the way the duckbills looked on the EG's and various other wings.. The EP3 has 4 choices of wings.. hfp, ctr, buddyclub or mugen. They are all nice but i've always wanted to make my own. So Leon (HomelessEM2) came thru, I gave him my $250 Seibon CF CTR Wing and let him cut it up we basically just used the mounting base off this wing so we could get the holes lined up.. And with my money and his talent we made my Kevlar Wing.

When we first started.. back in June.

THEN.. Disaster Struck.. this is what happens when you over tighten a wing.

little bit of the progress we made.. took off my JDM Front and put on my USDM Front with HFP Lip.

driving home with no back window..

Mean while... we cut up my JDM Front to make a Radiator Duct since they dont sell the Mugen one anymore.

bought a new rear window. and first test fit

laid the kevlar

First test fit of duct (trash) and the wing with kevlar on wing. THE DUCT IS NOT DONE! THIS WAS A TEST FIT

We didnt like the duct so we are making another one as I type this.

Finally wetsanded and painted under side.

Ill be doing a photoshoot as sooon as I throw my JDM Bumper back on with the Kevlar Radiator Duct in.. I could paint the wing but i like the color of the kevlar for now. I get bored fast so we'll see. Next up we are going to make a BYS wing for the EP3

ready for flaming

Great diy but I just think the kevlar sticks out too much with the black.

It looks good and mad props to do it yourself. Thats how to get **** done in hondaland. Ill always call them our hotrods and this thread proves it.

You think about matching those rims to the look of the kevlar?

Very nice, I like to see some innovation. It seems DIY stuff is one of the best ways to get uniqueness out of the Honda scene.

I like where you are going with the wing idea. It looks like it turned out well. But I don't know about the CK Radiator duct? hmm..

Looks good, I got a kevlar wing on my eg hatch. Did you clear it? How come you didn't lay it on the other side as well?

Thanks again for all the comments.

We didnt lay Kevlar on the under side just because i thought it would look good painted black.

The kevlar was on sale for $50 a yard i believe.

The Front Duct I may do in Carbon Kevlar so its not as bright.

I can not wait to see how our Kevlar BYS Style wing comes out along with the Rear Diffuser.

Thanks again for the comments
