My sunroof used to open. and now when i try to open it the sunroof just lifts up but wont open. like if its not getting power from the switch and i checked all the wires and everything is connected. What can it be ????
the sunroof probably disconnected from the rails due to old "stoppers"
stoppers are little plastic pieces that hold the sunroon on the rail, they are on the ends and the fronts of the rails. u have 4 all together. u should probably just go buy 4 more since im pretty sure thats the problem, it happens to alot of people. they are like 5 bucks each from the dealer though ><

I C wat u sayin but it usto open like nothing! right now all it does is move up and down but wont slide back.... I usually have to rev it up a bit to create more juice or it wont move at all..im thinking its loss of power with the switch or smthing like I had seen in a recent post.. but could not find..... smtimes i click on the switch 3 times with no reaction till like the fourth click... I just dont know wat fiuse to look for??
You should try a new switch my CRX did that and I could help it back by manually pushing it back once it popped up. I got a new switch and it cured the problem, although the motor was still weak especially when closing.
Very simple way to fix the problem, Pull the switch out from the dash, take it apart carefully lifting the tabs on each side - holding it facing up when u pull it apart be carefull not to lose the little metal rockers.
They always tend to get this black gunk that builds up on the terminals, simply wipe it off, get it all clean and it should be like new and seam like it has lots of power.
Mine was dead slow opening before until I did this now it's opens super quick.

There is also the plastic plug on the inside roof u can twist and remove to get access to the manual opener, just need a allan key. That should work if the power is'nt helping.
