bought b18a1 dont know what year. it has square grey distributor plug ins. it had a four wire 02 sensor.
i know the obd0 is supposed to plug into my current harness with a computer change.
i has the swap mounts, axles, trans already
i just know this engine i bought isnt a obd0
i need to know what this engine is and what i have to do to make it work

if its a b18a1 its a 90-91 the b18b came on 92 up vehicles. it might have been converted to obd1. if you have the obd1 dizzy and 02 just get a jumper and use a obd1 ecu

I agree
If for your 90 Si:
Besides some other basics, you already have everything you need to start man!
modified shift linkage or aftermarket
get preferably a P28 ECU
you can upgrade the brakes to 90-93 while you're at it too

I used to have a 93 integra. it had a b18b motor in it. it was bought new from acura that way so as far as I know the 90-91 were the only b18a's and 92-93 had b18b's I might be wrong maybe my car was a freak but it was bought new that way

90-93 No Jimmy your wrong. Not to be a dick but 90-93 Integras has B18a or B17a(92-93 GSR). No way did your 93 come from acura with a B18B since it hadnt even been made yet lol
Just look at the head, on the front of the block there will be markings inside circles that will tell you what year the motor is.
Yellow dizzy plugs-obd0
Grey plugs=obd1

You could do it either way. Major difference is the distributor. I think the only other difference is some of the intake sensors. Not 100% I just put a obd0 b18a1 into a obd1 DA. I just used original intake, and distributor.
get a OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness unless you're good at wiring yourself. Here is one place you can get it:

No need to worry about converting from obd1 to obd0, just use a 90-91 distributor and ecu as well as the injector resistor box and your obd0. Everything plugs in, hell even the obd0 and 0bd1 alternators have the same plugs.
it seems like it would be easiest to get the obd0 dist and comp. the wiring is already there.
Is there any benefit to going obd1?
if there is i may go obd1 if its worth it.
i am planning on doing high compression engine.
dont know exaclty what pistons to use.
i know there has to be some stock pistons that will do the job.

so i guess i am leaning toward ob1 set up in the crx.
do i have to buy the harness?
or can i make mine work somehow?
do i have to get the 92-93 harness and comp?
or will the 93-94 harness and comp work?

you always use the harness that came with the stock d motor and modify any plugs needed, if you had a si model all you need is a dizzy jumper harness( or repin it yourself) an ecu jumper(and obd1 ecu) and the vtec sub-wiring (jumper harness should have wires coming off of it for vtec very easy to hook up) you already have the 4 wire o2 so that should be it.
i found a good deal on a 93-94 complete harness
will this work?
as i am missing part of my original harness
and i wouldnt have to buy the obd0 yo obd1 jumper harness.
