why is my car burning coolant???
ok got a 1993 integra gs 4door automatic. i been having to add radiator fluid to it lately like once every 2-3 weeks. i checked and there is no leaks of any kind. its also not a blown head gasket also cuz there is no smoking from the exhaust and no milky oil. new t-stat also put in like 5 months ago.
If you are burning coolant you would see white colored smoke out of your tail pipe.
BLUE SMOKE = Burning Oil
BLACK SMOKE = Running Rich
WHITE SMOKE = Burning Water/coolant

During idle, it is very unlikely to see smoke or you have a major problem.
The other day I was behind a non-Honda at a stop, no smoke at idle, as soon as they gas it gas blue smoke lots of it.
You could see black at idle if the car was improperly tuned to rich at idle. But good tuners wouldn't allow this.
