Yea, the high-end sportscar that the civic is... it's unthinkable.

Actually, from the picture it looks like body twist to me, not roll.
[edit] well, not JUST roll

Don't feel so badly.

My trained eye says that's one of the SVT Lincoln Town Cars.

The guy driving that towncar was VERY (I can't capitalize those letters enough) smooth. As a matter of fact... I'm gonna go find out he/she was right now...

Edit : I must be the master of typos...can you believe I work with computers?

shocks do not help with body roll...they only make the transition better/smoother. Springs are what make the body stiffer.

I've heard that before, but the springs are mounted onto the shock so there is obviously load transfer onto the shock. So compression differences should definitely have an impact. I think that a lot of people with blown stock shocks have incredibly stiff rides because the spring hat makes contact with the bump stop, causing the relative spring rate to become infinite.

ok, let me clarify this now. i know if i put stiffer rprings in the car, it would kill the roll. but since i'm running in a stock class for the rest of the year, i can't do that. so the only thing that i can do for any kind of roll stiffness is shocks. and yes, u can kill body roll if u have a stiff enough shock. it won'd be as good as springs because it's not gonna lower the roll center any, but it will help.

Many people who autocross in stock classes, where shocks allowed to be changed and springs are not, use very agressive shock valving to compesate for less then ideal spring rates.

example-some nat'l level stock cars are running $1000 per corner penske external resevuar shocks that can be set so stiff that the springs are just along for the ride.
