Default clack noise after swap?

finally got the swap done in my crx...
FYI :
B18B fully built from ground up and minor head build with a T3/T4 .57 trim Garrett turbo, Precision 750cc injectors and all the lil stuff thats needed for the swap.
I just started it, and it did start right up~ but seconds later, i heard a clacking(?) noise from around the motor area. I know it cant be anything internal in the motor b/c the intervals of the noise was too far apart to be engine noise... if it were a piston slap or rod knock or something of that nature, the intervals between the noise would be alot shorter... the noise i heard was approximately 2 seconds apart at idle or at crank...
anyone have a clue??? one of my trusted resources said it could possibly be the starter drive not engaging/disengaging properly and hitting the flywheel bolts... but he was not there to hear the noise... does anyone have any idea???
anyone??

kind of common problem with alot of swaps, mine included, but i've never heard of a fix. theories i've come aross include valves, lma's, pistons but all attempts to fix it failed.
