hey HT,
just put a new head on my obdo b-series in my 89 civ hatch & the timing belt seems pretty loose. the tensioners adjusted correctly & there still seems to be a lot of play in the belt. i just used the blue power belt that came with the head, & i was just wondering if the b-series motors use different timing belts, i.e. b16a obdo differs from b16a obd1 or b16a2 or b16a3? my car runs and is in perfect time, but im just worried about how loose the belt is
i dont wanna be driving down the road and slip a tooth and ruin my new $2000 head!!! the timing belt seems to only be loose if you push IN on the timing belt from the smooth side, it doesnt have even HALF as much play in it when you push out on it from the side with the teeth on it? any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated

loosen the tensioner bolt and GENTLY pry up on the bottom of the tab that holds the spring, and then retighten the bolt. B16 belts are all the same.
