Vacuum Line ?- and yes i searched
Hey guys I just bought a car, and the engine bay was.......a mess to say the least. I spent literally all day redoing all the vac lines..seriously 4 hrs of vacuum lines..i think i wanna die..just a little. Anywho everything is now done except for a small detail..#8 The previous owner totally took it out. Will this harm operation once/if i get it running? If not should i just plug it? Thanks in advance guys
Do you have an aftermarket intake? From what I remember, I think #8 is to open the resonator down in the fender; it works kind of like the butterflies in the IM: it only allows so much volume of air at low rpm's to help the velocity, then opens up at higher rpm's to allow more flow. If you have a short ram or CAI, it's not needed. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
solid guys thanks alot. there is an aftermarket intake on it so maybe thats why its out. next question would be do i just block it or leave it open. it attaches to the manifold so im guessing something needs to be done
