2001 prelude oil puddle under car ???

Default 2001 prelude oil puddle under car ???

i have a 2001 prelude base model 5-speed. Yesterday on the empty roads i hit 125mph. car ran like a champ after. but today i went to walmart and noticed a huge oil puddle under my car. What can it be?

im pretty sure its oil from what you've told us.


pop the hood and find the source of the leak.

yes def oil. i had oil pan/valve cover gasket problems before but those were all slow leaks. this one is major drainage.

u dont guess where oils coming from man, seriously. all joking aside. pop your hood and inspect. a honda forum can't tell u what your problem is without knowing what you're talking about. if your car is leaking oil, find where its coming from. and don't drive it until you've fixed it.

Man no one on here is going to be able to tell you where you are leaking oil from because they can't look at your car. Check it yourself or tow it to a mechanic.

jack up your car. support it with jackstands. and pour in oil. if its as bad as you make it sound it might start leaking and you can peek to see where its coming from

Car leaks when car is running around the timing belt cover possibly the cam seal?

possibly... there are other seals under the cover also. Cam seals, balancer shaft seal, front main. The only way to find out is to take the cover off and inspect.
