Clutch/ Transmission Problems!!!
Ok so I need some help guys...I have a 91 Integra GS
I was driving down the road fine until i go to push in the clutch and it feels very wierd and then I try to put it in a lower gear and it wont go into any gear.
So I turn off the car and I can shift it into a different gear while the car is off. and drive fine and shift (without the clutch) but as soon I try to shift normally when the car is on it wont go into any gear.
I tried adjusting the clutch cable but had no luck. please help me!!!

i had this problem before
this would be your clutch going out so i highly recommend that you change your clutch soon before you mess up your tranny

yeah it would make sense if it was going out slowly but all the sudden? is there any way I can get a few more miles out of it actually using my clutch?
i have this same problem except i just changed my clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch fork and slave cyl. bled the clutch. it wont go in gear at all. the clutch doesnt dis-engage to go in gear. idk whats wrong.
thats what im afraid would happen to me if I put in a clutch and that not be the problem... cmon guys how could it go out all the sudden?

it happened to me. it can happen if one of the clutch disc springs break (which is what happened in my case). the clutch showed no obvious signs of wear, it just went up "all of a sudden"

I had the same problem up until today. Same exact symptoms EXACTLY. It all started when the reservoir on my CMC was low. It started sucking in air into the system. First thing to do is clean the engine bay real good. Make sure there is sufficient fluid. Then check for fluid leaks on the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder or in the line in between. If there is a leak it has to be fixed. There can be no air/contaminants in the system. Then bleed out the system.
Here is how you do it: You need two people. One inside one in the engine. Pump the clutch about 30 times. Then hold the clutch pedal in as far as possible. Open up the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder (right on tranny) and let the air out for asec. When fluid starts coming out, close it back up. Repeat procedure until the pedal feels normal.
Hope this helps. Its worth the try before you go and blow out so much cash on a new clutch..

Because the engine isn't turning....that's why you can shift. When it is turning the clutch isn't disengaging the tranny, so you can't shift.

But I push in the clutch when it comes to a stop and it does not die... does that mean its partialy disengaging or is that something else?

OK!! ordered a XTD stage 2 clutch with a 8 pound flywheel off ebay.. hope it last at least a year till I get out of school and am not a poor college student any more. Should I drain the transmission fluid before taking it out? If so what kind of oil do I put in the tranny.
Any advice for me before I put the new clutch and flywheel in?? thanks
