Default 1.8L "R" with individual throttle bodies

currently have a 195whp motor, thinking about installing itbs as a finishing touch to try and achieve a FAT powerband

yes, i looked around, and everything seems to be outdated.

im looking for dyno graphs of a stock head port, and stock 1.8L block itr with itbs. thanks in advance.

In for this as well. I plan on doing the same, but slightly build the bottom-end...

I remember you....

What happened to your 220whp stock block ITR motor?
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2130047

195whp is about right for a stock block ITR....

the finest of castings will still require a port match no matter how good. you'll also need the requisite engine management and tuning to take advantage of them.

then you'll find that a ported head would better compliment the itb's. and on top of that, better cams (and the valvetrain to go with it) will enable you to get into the powerband sooner and widen it.

it's a slippery slope.....

I had A-Sports ITB's on my stock internal B18C5 with Rage Tri-Y Headers, Apex B-Pipe and Spoon Sports Street Muffler tuned with Apexi Power FC by Church Automotive. I ended up with 194hp / 146tq to the wheels. Hope this info helps.

I definately enjoyed the tq but missed the top end...I think the A-Sports would of ran better in the higher RPM's with some bigger cams...Just felt like it was starving for more air flow

hummm....
You would need to significantly increase compression for that. Prob. bore the 1.8L

Basic budget build up..

84.5mm x 89mm
84.5mm Cast pistons (Spark Racing or RS)
B16 Self ported head w/ quality valve job
ITR manifold
BC springs/ret
68mm TB
Hytech knock off
Blox B's

Lightly tuned on Crome... didn't touch the cam gears.
