Default Subs cancelling each other out??

hey guys just put 2 12" and a 15" in my EG hatch. volume half and down it sounds crazy but i'd like to crank it louder. problem being.. once i go over half it sounds like the subs are working against eachother and just vibrating and the bass tones are just sloppy, i know the subs arent the best in quality but when they are hooked up seperately the 12's vs the 15, they sound aweosme by themselves. the 12's are on one amp and and 15 on its own aswell. could it be a volume level or would it be due to the way they are pointing? any pointers would help. maybe changing the faders or reversing the polarity on the speakers? also they are all in thier own seperate boxes not one big box.

thanks! much appreciated

Get a bass sweep track and see if it cancels at all frequencies. If it does, then the subs are out of phase. If it's only at certain frequencies, then it's most likely the placement/crossovers.

12 dB/oct crossovers (most likely what you have) introduce a 90 degree phase shift at the XO frequency. If the crossovers on the 2 amps are not set the same, then you would probably get some cancellation around the crossover frequency. Of if you have different crossover slopes on the 2 amps, that would cause cancellation around the XO point as well.

Been watchin' this post cause this is an interesting one if things sound a-ok at mid-volume.....if you've got cancellation issues these should be occurring at any volume.....right? I suppose though maybe at higher volume the effects of cancellation may be more apparent.....not sure though.

do you have the same crossover frequency at both amps or if using outboard crossover are settings the same for all your subs?
