Default Cleaner Engine Bay?

So basically I'm a big noob to engines. I hear people say your engine bay will be tons cleaner if you remove power steering, power windows, a/c, abs, and all that good stuff. Are there any before and after pictures of removal so I can see just how much cleaner they are? And is is it really worth removing such luxuries?

Thanks
