Sorry I didn't take a pic of it, but there is a large metal ring (I think) that doesn't seem to go anywhere on the engine, it's a couple inches in diameter and pretty skinny. Anybody know what it's for?

 

Well i would need a picture but it could be some sort of shim.

 

Actually I think the kit may have came with 2 of them and I lost one already. Check out the 2 rings inside of the headgasket in this pic, that's what I'm talking about.

That makes complete sense, thanks! I was thinking of everywhere in the engine and it just didn't seem to go anywhere but that has to be it. I don't need them anyways so it doesn't matter that I lost one.

You are 100% correct they go in the half section of the exhaust manifold
