New company release: BosStylists - Win a Car (S2000!)
Hi all,
As some of you on the forum may already know, since the build of my personal car (which is now a show car for the company) I have been in the process of setting up my own company and I am happy to say that it is finally launched.
The company (BosStylists) is solely focused on modifying cars. They will be high end cars (e.g. first car is a Honda s2000) and all extensively modified with full body kits, exotic paint jobs, high hp engine mods and full interiors.
We begin by searching the market and selecting the best available parts for the car. The team then upload them onto the website and create computer generated images so you can see how they would look on the car. It is up to the viewers to select their favourite part from each category and then vote, for free, after seeing a graphic image of the car they created. Once the voting process is over (around 1 month) the car will be built featuring the most popular parts. People will then have the chance to buy a ticket and participate in the game, still to be completed, in order to win the car.
We hope you all take a moment to visit the site and go through the whole process so you can get a complete feel for the site. The more people that vote the more accurate a representation we will have of the views of the public as a whole when building the car.
Please come back and give your feedback and opinions of the site. We are more than happy to hear any suggestions you may have. If you do not want to post them up feel free to email us using the contact form on our website.
Thank you and we hope everyone enjoys it!
Best regards,
Ralph
N.B. Your email is requested before you choose the parts solely to ensure that we do not receive multiple votes from the same person (so as not to distort the final tally). Your email address will not be passed on to any third parties.

its ok, I don't like the the selection of parts and the fact that you HAVE to pick a kit for the s2k, other than that its cool

Hehe my one is not for sale but I have a very good feeling about this current one. I don't want to mention anything about what choices are in the lead but all I can say is that I will be very happy if by the end the final voting figures are as they are now

What do you mean by you don't like the selection of parts? Do you mean the way it works or you don't like the fact that there is a selection or that you would prefer other parts were available? I am interested in what you think so please let me know.
I had not thought of leaving an OEM option in the bodykit section. On the one hand it does make sense as I know there are many out there that like the stock s2000 look, however on the other hand what I was trying to achieve when selecting the parts was going all out to end up with a highly tuned car and I think leaving the OEM kit, good as it does look, would not go with what we are aiming to achieve with the car.
Very useful points to consider though .. thank you!

Yeah I am pretty sure he wanted an option of stock body car. I don't konw about having a stock option, but lips and non wide body stuff should be included. As well as different wheels...
One thing that is currently bothering me is that many people seem to be getting to the page where you must leave your email and are turning away. I am considering getting the web designer to move this to the end of the process so all the voters can see exactly what the site is about before leaving their email address.
The whole point of this is to ensure that people only vote once, in order to keep the results fair, and in order to email out updates of what is happening (i.e. the final image of the car to be build once voting results are in, future projects etc).
I want to stress that email addresses will not be passed onto any 3rd parties.
What is everyone's opinion on this? Would it be better to open the site up and have the email request at the end of the voting process? Any other suggestions as to how to keep an element of control and fairness over the voting process are more than welcome so please share.
Thanks!

I agree with both your comment on more wheel options and lips / non wide body stuff, the issue with this car was that being out 1st project we had to draw the line somewhere. I had to decide on an overall feel for the car and try and stick to it with all the parts I selected. I chose to go with the wide body kits because they are more extreme and more rare on s2000s. Hopefully in the future the parts options will be expanded and as a result there will be many different options to choose from

LOL I'm sure you wouldn't .. I wouldn't either if I was actually able to play for it
Tickets are for this car yes .. this car being the one that came out in the final preview, however it may differ from your selection depending on what the top parts selected are.
As for the cost we are still working on it. We have a good 3 weeks or so to launch the ticket sales so we will be monitoring the number of people who log in to vote etc to decide how much to price the tickets at.

I agree though, Im not a huge fan of body kits either. But I know if its gonna make it anywhere as a SHOWCAR its gonna need the body kit, a nice wide one. it may not be out exact cup of teas, but thats whos gonna be judging the car so it would be dumb if we all knowingly put a handicap on the car like an OEM hood. No one else at the shows gonna rock an OEM hood.
I think the only OEM part i choose was the spoiler, but thats cause the spoon hardtop looks sick as [freak] and I dont like those huge drag spoilers on... anything.
From the perspective that your gonna be working on this car and use these actual parts I think it has a very good job at going indepth. I mean its not Need for Speed Underground or anything. The man's gotta buy these parts, the selection was legit. I was happy to just see the mugen hood along witht the spoon or mugen hard top mixed in with the aftermarket companies. I say good job all around haha.

Thank you for the kind words!
I agree with a lot of what you say there .. most of that was pretty high in my thoughts when I was selecting the parts.
The main idea of the cars I will be producing is that they will be highly modified cars with almost everything possible done to them. I want people to have the chance to win cars they would love to own but are just not willing to invest the money and time in building them. I want all my cars to be special, hence the interesting and may I say different colour choices and the selection of parts.
In the future I will reconsider everything depending on how its working and most likely offer more parts choices.

With the super hihg end cars... I would imagine the tickets must be pretty expensive. Are you guy going to be selling parts or anything else like that? Seems like it would be very, very hard to make any money.
it seems like a cool concept, but as a former owner of an AP2, the choices are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too limited. there are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo many more parts for the S2K, & the choice of only 3 rims, 2 wings, 2 hardtops etc etc....i'd add A LOT more parts. what about ASM's exterior/engine parts, C-West, J's Racing, Spoon etc etc, just to name a few

Artwork looks nice. Got the "2.0" buttons going on etc..
Since you asked, small things:
1) Not a fan of the mismatched type face on the about page.
2) Send message button needs cursor:pointer; on it.
3) The whole pick your part thing is cool but instead of page reloads etc all the time why not ajax it to keep in with your kinda 2.0 theme?
My car looks sweet, ship to NZ?
