Default New company release: BosStylists - Win a Car (S2000!)

Hi all,

As some of you on the forum may already know, since the build of my personal car (which is now a show car for the company) I have been in the process of setting up my own company and I am happy to say that it is finally launched.

The company (BosStylists) is solely focused on modifying cars. They will be high end cars (e.g. first car is a Honda s2000) and all extensively modified with full body kits, exotic paint jobs, high hp engine mods and full interiors.

We begin by searching the market and selecting the best available parts for the car. The team then upload them onto the website and create computer generated images so you can see how they would look on the car. It is up to the viewers to select their favourite part from each category and then vote, for free, after seeing a graphic image of the car they created. Once the voting process is over (around 1 month) the car will be built featuring the most popular parts. People will then have the chance to buy a ticket and participate in the game, still to be completed, in order to win the car.

We hope you all take a moment to visit the site and go through the whole process so you can get a complete feel for the site. The more people that vote the more accurate a representation we will have of the views of the public as a whole when building the car.

Please come back and give your feedback and opinions of the site. We are more than happy to hear any suggestions you may have. If you do not want to post them up feel free to email us using the contact form on our website.

Thank you and we hope everyone enjoys it!

Best regards,

Ralph

N.B. Your email address is requested before you choose the parts solely to ensure that we do not receive multiple votes from the same person (so as not to distort the final tally). Your email address will not be passed on to any third parties.

P.s. This is posted on the gallery page but seeing as I have been on the s2000 forum for a while now and the 1st project car is actually an s2000 I thought I would also post it here.

hmm, im kinda confused, then again it is 5:44am and i'm about to goto the gym, which always makes me confused...

but what does your company do, you build a car and give it away? umm, do you sell parts, do you build cars for people, if so you might wanna have a garage, lift, cert'ed techs, good equipment, prices, pictures of your shop etc..

i dunno, shrug coffee.. mmm

Hi,

Wow you are up early going to the gym .. great determination!

The idea of the company is basically to build the car with the most favoured parts and then offer people the chance to win it. The process will involve the purchase of a ticket in order to enter into a game, which will involve an element of skill and judgement, which will open once the voting process finishes.

We already have a group of companies together to complete the cars, all which worked on our show car.

Hope it is clearer now, any more questions feel free to ask

Yes will end up being incredibly good for those who win the cars Will end up with a fully modified car for a very minor cost.

Money is made from the ticket sales.

You're making me nervous. You are in a marque forum where commercial advertising is prohibited.

It's not clear to me that you have crossed the line, but moderators are already asking questions about what you are doing.

Please be careful of what you are saying and how you say it, and when the time comes to sell the tickets understand that you cannot do that in this thread, in this marque forum.

:-)

One thing that is currently bothering me is that many people seem to be getting to the page where you must leave your email and are turning away. I am considering getting the web designer to move this to the end of the process so all the voters can see exactly what the site is about before leaving their email address.

The whole point of this is to ensure that people only vote once, in order to keep the results fair, and in order to email out updates of what is happening (i.e. the final image of the car to be build once voting results are in, future projects etc).

I want to stress that email addresses will not be passed onto any 3rd parties.

What is everyone's opinion on this? Would it be better to open the site up and have the email request at the end of the voting process? Any other suggestions as to how to keep an element of control and fairness over the voting process are more than welcome so please share.

Thanks!

That is what I am thinking ... any more input on the email address request would be greatly appreciated.

ok so people vote on some parts they will like to see on a specific car? then they buy a ticket which will qualify them to win the car, after some kind of game is played?

now what does the game have to do with wining the raffle?
also what if you don't make enough money out of the ticket sales, and you don't make a profit. will the car still be raffled or will it be canceled?

i really don't see the pointof it all...

Have you looked through the website?

The whole point of it is to create fully modified cars and offer someone the chance to win it. There is no raffle as such. The way it is going to work is there will be some form of game (still being worked on) whereby you have to purchase a ticket to take part. It will be a game requiring skill and judgment. It will be much easier to understand once everything is released.

At the moment the way things stand if enough revenue is not raised the car will still be sold, however the details are yet to be finalised.

At the moment the voting process is all completely free so there is nothing to worry about until the ticket sales begin. Once the ticket sales begin all your questions will be answered.

Sorry if my answers have been a little thin but the specifics can't be released yet, I hope you understand.

If you have not looked at the website please take a look and let me know what you think once you have gone through the whole process. Any other questions feel free to ask

It is kind of like a raffle but is slightly different as a raffle is a lottery and this is not a lottery .. it is a game requiring skill and judgment thus the user's knowledge may have an impact on his chances of wining the car. I don't want to get into a discussion as to whether it is a raffle or not.

The web designer is supposed to update the site today with the email at the end. I will let you know once he does it and you can let me know what you think then.

Thanks

At the moment I can't release any information on the game side of it .. it will begin 3 weeks on Monday, sorry

Thank you .. I really hope it does as I have some crazy cars planned for the future

As for s2ki I am currently trying to get hold of the team to become a forum sponsor there so I can advertise without causing any problems! I got in touch with them 3 months back and they said they would get back to me with a quote for what I wanted and I haven't heard from them since. I emailed them about 3 times since the beginning of July but no answer

Thanks you for your help in spreading the word .. the only thing that I ask is that if the moderators ask you to remove it to please do so as I don't want any problems with the s2ki team to result in me not being able to advertise on the site.

People have been posting images of the cars they have 'created' on the other forum so I thought I would post the one I came up with on this forum too so you can see the diversity of parts available and some other custom ideas I came up with for the project.

From other thread:

Since people were posting up images of what they had chosen I thought I would post mine up to show the diversity that is available. With the Mugen hood you have the option of painting the vents the colour of the car, the same goes for the Volk GTF rims and the Works CR Kai are available in either white or gunmetal.

Enjoy and keep up the voting

Any other opinions on my question about the placement of the email address request form / other ideas?

Thanks

Unfortunately the site doesn't work with Internet Explorer 6. If you are on IE 7, as I think is the case with you, you need to have it fully updated with the latest updates in order to render the car fully. Try upgrading IE7 and going back, the image should appear.

If that doesn't work you can try downloading Firefox where it renders perfectly

Hope this helps

If only the spoiler came out its because you are not running the latest updates on Internet Explorer 7 .. either update it and go back where it should come out fine or go check it out on firefox .. hope this helps
