That's from the Acura 1.6EL.

Eran has it in his car.

I still have that piece. I just took out the climate control.

That's right, I remember seeing this in Eran's car.

What years of the 1.6el had this console item?

1.7el started in 01 right? so 1.6el was only 96-00 right? and the piece from a 1.7el would not fit an ek or would it?

Do you know the part number Eran? Thanks

1.7EL parts would be more likely to fit a 7th gen Civic.

Having a part number for another country doesn't mean you can order it at your local dealership though (it'd probably be really expensive anyway). Your best bet is to buy one used from Canada.

Neither of us have access to a Canadian parts list though, so we don't have the part number.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I have contacted several dealers in Canada and if I had a part number i could atleast get a quote. It probably will be expensive to buy new from canada. Thanks for your help.

Why can't you just say you want this part for a '97 Acura EL? Explain the part and I"m sure they can quote you. Never before have I gone to a dealership and needed a part number before they can try to sell me the part.

In my initial emails I did explain what part I needed, I'm just waiting for a response. I thought they might reply asking for a part number. It looks like the part goes in without any modifications. Is that correct?

As I remember there was no modification. Eran can reply back later to confirm though.

I think Acura is going to charge a lot more for that than I would want to pay. Even used they're not cheap.
