Two questions
1) My primary oxygen sensor has gone bad, is it okay / logical to replace it with an aftermarket one or should one get it from the dealer?
2) I acquired an "ITR intake manifold / throttle body" and the manifold checks out with the P73 stamp, but the throttle body has a fast idle valve. It's 62mm in diameter (type r size), but to my knowledge none of the type r came with a fast idle valve - I thought it was just an obd1 thing?
Thanks

1) anything i can replace with OEM i do but thats just me
2) i've read some threads and it seems that some ITR TB come with a wax-type fast idle valve assembly on the bottom but couldnt find anything except for whoever ran into this problem bought a new TB or traded...i was told that it comes on obd1 as you mentioned, but i guess its not only obd1 because there are a few people with this problem..if i find anything out ill let you know

1) Yeah, I'm just wonderng if you can get by with the aftermarket ones or if it truely is better to stay OEM (does it make a difference is the point)
2) Well, I don't see it as a problem. I mean, it would hurt to run the fast idle valve on an obd2 system as it's purely mechanical, right?

Look on Ebay stores or anywhere else thst sells Denso and/or NTK direct plug in o2 sensors. They are as good as OEM in my professional opinion from my experience working with Hondas since 1996.

That's odd. Someone could have swapped a different TB on it perhaps. I've never seen a USDM B18C5 with a FITV on the TB. Mine has none.
You might could ask question #2 in the ITR forum.
Thanks

Yeah I guess, it's just odd that the diameter is the 62mm. I even checked it with a micrometer. I've never known a 62mm throttle body with the FITV, unless it's some F / H series?

That's entirely possible. Hell an S2K TB fits an ITR IM, so why wouldn't an H series?

Well, as long as everything hooks up (it looks like it should) then it doesn't matter to me. I guess like I said though, it doesn't matter if I run the FITV on an obd2 system since the valve is purely mechanical right?

So, last night I went to check the code with the PGM tester at work and instead of the code pointing directly at the oxygen sensor, it said "running too rich, bank 1" any ideas?
