so when i start up my 1997 integra rs it has an idle from 1200 to 1800 ish, give ir take a hundred or two. so what does thismean cus it idles pretty high at start up and then goes down after i drive it a few feet... What does this mean... please help...

 

If it idles at 1500 at startup and gradually drops to 750+- 50, that is perfectly normal. In the winter mine sometimes is at 1650ish at startup. A RSX Type-S I had was at 1900ish at winter startups.

It's normal for any car to idle high on startup until it reaches its normal operating temperature.
