idealistically, you dont need to rebuild your motor for boost. a b18c1 will handle it very nicely. you can get a very nice kit for 3500. try SCtuned here in philly. they sell peakboost kits.
however, if you really want to rebuild, due to bad compression or whatever, you should take the time and do your research and budget yourself for that first, with plans for boost later.

yes. honda motors handle boost very well. how many miles does your motor have?

10 pounds is safe. you could do more but i think 10psi is your best bet. what turbo are you wanting to run?this really effects what boost you can run

you dont NEED anything else besides whats in the kit, but if you have additional concerns you should search.

dont go by boost numbers alone - different turbos make different hp improvements

you can boost 20psi out of a small *** turbo and gain 50whp or you can boost 5psi out of a big turbo and gain 100whp.

generally, B-series with turbo's start breaking major parts around 300whp.

of course, there are e-racers that push more, but every motor is different

like spec R said - you cant go by psi, different size turbos put out different power at the same psi.

you gotta go by whp, *PERSONALLY* (notice i dont mean this is what it HAS to be) i wouldnt go over 300whp on a stock block.

at this amount of power you wont have to upgrade anything really, besides injectors, fuel pump, and get yourself some nice colder spark plugs.

you should really do some deep research bro, it sounds like youre not very informed yet, make sure you know what your getting yourself into before jumping into the boost wagon, stuff starts breaking faster

added - oh yeah, TUNE TUNE TUNE!!!

the kit probably will not include any fuel system upgrades that YOU WILL need. Fuel pump, And bigger injectors 440cc at the very minimum.

for good links Go to the Forced Induction forum and click on FAQ

The greddy kit comes with a e-manage engine management.. not the best in the world, but enough to run that greddy kit.. Also it comes with 310cc injectors.

just make sure you get it properly tuned.. Tunning is everything in a boosted car, I would suggest asking your tuner to give you a "conservative" tune. Alot of tuners will try and get you at max HP without keeping in mind that it is a daily driven car and that will reduce the longivity of the motor.

Lots of misinformation going on in this thread.

You shouldn't base your goals on psi, instead base if off whp. Generally, 330whp is the limit of a BONE STOCK gsr motor.

I agree with rick, set your goal on the power you want to make, not on a PSI. I have seen stock GSR at 380-400 whp but the reliability at this HP is going to be limited.. But with that Greddy kit 400whp will be about the limits of that turbo anyways..

Right on bro.

Please look up the forced induction forum. There's a vast amount of information on there, I learned ALOT of things. Good luck.
