h22a conversion to ek3 4 door (black smoke)

hey guys

i just did a h22a engine conversion on my ek3 4 door, runing a type r integra ecu, and vafc vtec controller (but not yet tuned ) ? .

curently it has abit of lag between 3k-3500k revs and has lots of black smoke .

would tuning the vafc will help to stop the black smoke .

any help will be apprciated.

Black smoke means it's running rich, get it tuned.
