Default Messed up main relay

A couple things, I got non-running 91 CRX off a friend of mine, and it wasn't getting fuel. I have the helms manual by the way, and I find out my relay's shot (which is why I wasn't getting fuel), so I went to Advance Auto and got one there. So I plugged it in, turned the key, and the relay started shaking, like an xbox controller or something. Also made the dashlights flickler. So I returned it, has this happened to anybody else? Also anybody have any seats for my car? I've got pans and rails, but no seats.

Ok, turns out not only does the relay vibrate (The one I bought from Honda), but also something in the driver door, like a window motor. It's a 91 CRX DX, is there a power window motor, even know I've got the manual windows?

you have a gremlin in the wiring .the shaking was caused by the solenoid part of the relay switching on and off , the only thing i can tell you is get a soidering gun and a wire cutter ...and oh yea a big a$$ bottle of tylenol because electrical problems are a headache AND pain in the a$$

You should also make sure that your battery terminals are properly connected. I experienced something similar to what you mentioned once, and I found the positive terminal to be loosely attached.

I've had this problem before & it was also a loose terminal ground. Check that first before you start tearing apart wires.

Default Hmmm

Sounds like a job for this weekend. The battery's shot, so after I replace that, maybe it might go away. But I'll check grounds and see what's happening. Thanks.
