if i had a rhd del sol id drive it around all over the us... pointless or not its different than all the other ******* hondas in the area...

 

a buddy of mine used to have an international scout (looks like an old bronco) that was a right hand driver .. we never got hassled by the cops ...

 

A friend of mine has a R33 and was pulled over all the freakin time, mostly to check out the car. Now most of all the officers in his neighborhood know him so the harassment factor has been cut down.

i think the run from 40-80k, i see them once in a while here round torrance/gardena. Always see a white one at the southbay galleria.

 

My friend drives his RHD integra type-r daily and he's never complained about the cops harrasing him.

There is a guy with an R32 GTR and he drives his car around all the time. His daily driver is a Geo Prizm, but he drives the skyline a great deal and I never see him get harassed by police.

 

paying cash tolls and going thru drive-thrus must take some getting used to.

but at least wen ur parallel parked u dont hafta worry about cars when getting out

i wonder if cops have pulled over a RHD for some moving violation and then walked over to the left side only to see either no one, or a passenger with no steering wheel

Is there an actual law that says right hand drive cars are illegal, or is it just some interpretation of a vague ordinance somewhere?

In Glendora, the Carls Jr. on Grand has the Drive-up window on the passenger side, and with a lowered car its kind of a pain, so if you had a RHD car, it would be easy to get your food.

 

there's a guy on CSi with a RHD CTR and he posted a story once about how he got pulled over for either not having a front plate or no plates at all (i forget which one). and the cop walked up to the wrong window, asked for his drivers lisence, registration etc... went back to the cop car and when he walked back up to the CTR again, he went to the right side. never said anything about the steering wheel being on the wrong side.

i thought that was kinda funny.

 

i don't usually get pulled over in my car.. because the steering wheels on the wrong side.. once in awhile i get a cop that just wants to be a dick and bust my ***** a little bit.... but other times i'll have a passanger in my car and the cop will walk up to him and ask him for his license registration insurance.. without even realizing he's not driving.. thats funny :]

As for drive thru's just drive into them in reverse like my friend used to do in his RHD Mini...lol

There is nothing illegal about a RHD car. You just have to have the car regestiered it has to pass emmsions and if it is from Japan it has to have all of the saftey stuff put in like door reinforcements stuff like that.
