Car startin f***in up today Need Help ASAP
I posted bout a week ago. I got a 94 Honda with an LS swap. Just put a full exhaust on it (header, test pipe, catback) and it was setting a CEL for the O2 sensor. Thats not really the issue cause I found that problem due to other dudes help on here. The wires are pulling out of the connector. Now the CEL will stay off for a while until i get on it. It was running fine until today on my way home from work. Was just cruisin bout 60 and it starting missing and losing power. If i down shifted it at WOT (wide open throttle) it would clear up. It would do this from 5th down to 3rd. Got it home let it sit and cool down. Pulled all the plugs and they are all pure white. Its running mad lean which was surprising to me because all the vehicles i work on with CEL's for O2's run on the rich side. Drove it again and it ran fine. But it barely got up to operating temp so??? Flashed the codes again and still just the O2 code. Also i have screwed with the timing a bit but nothing more than a couple degrees. Any thoughts ? Im kind of at a loss right now. Just figure i would put it out there before I go chasin something when I dont know where to start.
Thanks alot
Thanks alot
if your o2s are reading rich, they are going to think the car is rich and then lean out the fuel... fix that problem and then post back, I suspect you have other issues
Well i have still have a gnarly exhaust leak where the collector meets the test pipe. But it quit missing the other day once the CEL came on. It has a new cap but the rotor screw is seized up in there so i couldnt change the rotor button. Didnt want to strip it. Put a new fuel filter on it cause the other was ancient thinkin maybe it was getting enough fuel but the CEL is still on. I'm gonna get a new O2 this week but i aint sure if thats the problem. Bought some new NGK s but i dont wanna put em in if its just gonna albino the electrodes. I know the LS is known for rotor problems but it seems mine is in good shape. NE other input would be greatly appreciated.
