So, just finished welding up my Crx chassis by my welder friend. I must say that the metal is SO THIN! Especially in the rear subframe area. He had a hard time not "burning off" metal /creating a bigger hole. We were wondering if anyone have a glue of the composition of the metal used by Honda (EF chassis). Any aluminum in the mix?
Probably you guys just dont know how to weld it. Autobody welding is an art in itself. I've never had problems welding the chassis on japanese cars. Alot of european cars are alot easier, due to the thickness (Especially volvo), but japanese sheet is thin.
