Default Can a CRX suspension handle 1.6 60 foots?

Hey all i am worried i may be over powering the suspension components on my CRX.
The car has explicit speed performance traction bars and skunk 2 coil overs but the rest of the bushings and suspension is bone stock. the car is a 90 si its not gutted in fact its probably heavier then stock by a few pounds, Im going to try and get 1.6 60 foots from it this coming friday at the track im just wondering if any one has any ideas on what the bushings and tie rods and what not can handle. also does any one know if any one makes better bushings and what not for the front end? any way here are a couple pics of the car for yah to look at as well. thanks for all the help in advance.

Why wouldn't it handle it? Can you cut that time? Thats the real question.

I have a master bushing set for 88-91 from ES, its the black graphite impregnated set too. Its for sale. I already have one on my car, and its better than stock imo.

got a link so i can read up on these bushings? and thanks for your reply. yes i feel that i can get a 1.6 out of it with the proper tire pressure and launch RPM. The reason i ask is i know these cars are not designed for this originally.

thanks turboZChatch that is good to know. my car is my daily driver and i drive it to the track and home so i want to be sure it can handle it. up until now i only cut high 1.7 to low 1.8s with it was worried a 1.6 may be to much

thanks!! its simple and works great, i have it loosely filled with steel wool to help catch oil vapor and condense it back to liquid and there is drain valve on the bottom. cost me almost nothing to build on a side not i ordered new bushings today thanks to the fella aboves suggestion. my bushings have 350k on them perhaps its time for new ones.

You should be fine. Nice single cam. I got a couple questions though,

1. What size slicks are you running?

2. How Many pounds of boost are you running?

3. Whats your best track time?

My car is all motor, so I'm not sure how that affects my launching and 60ft's compared to a boosted setup.
But I am using gator stage 2 axles, gsr ys1, open diff., msd 2 step at 7500, 23x8x13 slicks.

i need some axles i think. i am only launching at around 6k i have a nasty bog right off the bat which i think i have figured. 1.9 60' w/24.5" slicks is no good. we'll see tommorow, i'm gonna try a few different things.

I was pulling 1.6 60 foot with my single cam in a hatch with stock suspension and 13 in tires you shouldnt have a problem but if your bushings are all wore out you should replace them.
