Default 5th gen Type-SH tie rods

Searched but no answer. my inner tie rods needs to be replaced. so im going to go ahead and change both inner and outter rods. Are the base and SH tie rods the same? I read the threads, offering a company that sells them on ebay. but they dont specify if the SH and base differ. thanks in advance.

The outer SH and Base tie rods are different.

Thanks. where would be the next best place to purchase tie rods, besides from Honda itself? any recommendations?

You can get the inner's from World Suspension. They're an ebay seller that others here have used with good success. http://stores.ebay.com/World-Suspension

For the outer's, Majestic Honda is your best bet for the lowest price.

Well from what i know now, the inner tie rods are the same for both base and SH. im about to order the inners on world suspension. But they have, in BOLD RED "excluding type sh" i just need some feed back confirming this will work for my SH since there the same and this may just be a typo or they may just not know base and SH share inner tie rods. thanks

They're advertising the them as 92-00. The 4th and 5th gen's have different part numbers, so I don't know how they're selling them like that.

There's an issue of 4g v. 5g here, not Base v. SH.

Your right, i wont even risk it, rather jus buy it OEM. Are the inner tie rods on majestic honda labeled number#1? Because theres two labeled 001 and they are diff part numbers and one cost more than the other. Which is it? i also believe the cost includes both inners, showing quantity is 2. can you confirm this for me. thanks for all the help

Yeah its not worth the risk. Just get the ones labeled for SH. And check other Honda part websites, they may be easier to understand. http://www.slhondaparts.com/ has the clearest diagrams.

Well the OEM inner tie rods cost the same as the outter that i already bought. i was planning on gettin the inners for an affordable price but with world suspension mixing things up now. Does anyone recommend any other aftermarket inner tie rods? thanks

Not sure if this is applicable in your case. But in my experience aftermarket companies don't know an SH from a base model from a SI... In other words, they may say it fits an SH model and it doesn't.

So at a minimum make sure the part you order is guaranteed to fit your car. Personally when it comes to precision stuff like suspension and drive shafts, I only go OEM.

I have learned the hard way it is easier to pay a little more and do it right the first time then have to do it twice.
