Default What sensor/part is this?

I'm removing everything off my intake manifold to fully clean it out, but was wondering what this sensor is for.

Thanks

That would be your Intake Air Temperature sensor, commonly referred to as the IAT.

I don't think it was. I think you were wrong and found a nice way to slip out of it.

Either way it's not a funny joke either. It would have been funny if it was an obviously wrong answer, like "it's your transmission" but someone ignorant to these parts could have easily taken your "joke" seriously and thought that was a TPS.

Let's say the OP needed to replace that sensor - how "funny" would it be if he priced a TPS, on your recommendation, and found out that it's part of a $500.00 throttle body.

If you don't know the answer, don't post.

If you're going to make a joke make it VERY obvious, but even still why waste time/space?
