im bored and i think it would be cool to see what everyone started on and what they are riding now. feel free to write a short thing about each bike saying what you liked/disliked.
first bike: 2000 suzuki bandit 1200 likes: torque out the wazoo, wheelie machine, comfortable
dislikes: heavy, horrible gas mileage, needed better suspension

second bike: 1997 honda vfr 750 likes: v4 baby!, sssw, lightest generation, dislikes: still heavy, prefer fuel injected vfrs, needs better suspension

third bike: 2002 honda f4i likes: i rode it stripped down so it was light, very quick and nimble, dislikes: suspension, this was the best pic i had

fourth bike: 2000 honda vfr 800 likes: fuel injection, sssw,v4, great sport/tour bike, dislikes: heavy, needs suspension work

fifth bike: 2007 honda cbr 600rr likes: light as hell, brakes are great, quick and nimble, dislikes: dont have any yet,lol

well theres my list of bikes so far, hopefully in the future its a ducati or an rc51 too make the list

wow, nice list.
i've only had 2 bikes.
1991 kawasaki ZX6D
likes: seating position was pretty comfortable, windscreen worked well. dislikes: carbs, heavy, no fuel level indicator, old, banana seat style, etc. etc.

2008 cbr600rr
likes: light, quick, agile, good brakes, loads of power, etc etc. dislikes: windscreen doesn't do much haha, i need to order a double bubble screen.

1st:'90 ninja. It was my first bike, how could I hate it? Besides it being old. The paint helped it though.
a year later 2nd: '92 F2. Got it completely stock, super clean, jus could deal with my legs wrapped around the crazy colors of the 80's/early 90's. I kind of miss it. Planned on keeping it for this year too but then fell on a good deal with my current

Current: '02 f4i. Needs some more torque
But I love it.

My first bike, 98 Yamaha R1...never ridden a 1000 before just rode a few times on a 600.

after having the 98 for about 5-6 months all my friends started getting into bikes and buying new, so I sold the bike for 2800 and went out a bought a 05 Yamaha R1 that i had been eyeballing for a month. Had 2300 miles on it when i purchased it, 3 yr extended warranty, titanium full header to exhaust, uk headlights, frame sliders, and a power commander.

It was alright. I was a bit bored with it and was tired of getting smoked on the straights at the track.
I miss the NSR250 the most. Its near impossible to find a decently priced MC28 now (I bought mine for $5500). If you want a NC30, here's a clean plated one for sale (I wanted to buy this a few years back)

A small used dealership near me has a 1991 nsr. 18k km's. But i dont think i would want a 2 smoke for a daily driver. Ive always wanted a honda sport v4. My dream bike is definitely an RVF750

They're not bad at all. Rings every 7500miles and pistons every 15k. It only takes a couple hrs to change it once you know what you're doing.
ok, lets get back on topic. More pics!

My first and only bike so far: 2006 599,
likes= styling, sound, acceleration(fast to me).
Dislikes= sometimes it does get old not having a windshield. Front suspension is soft and unadjustable.

This is a pic of from right after I bought it new. Have put about 8,000 miles on it so far. It now has exhaust, fender eliminator, integrated turnsignals, framesliders.

whats the advantage of uk headlights? seems it would just be blaring light into the eyes of oncoming drivers instead of slightly away from them.

I was a squid and my first bike was an 03 CBR600F4i

And then the obvious 2nd bike choice. 01 rc51

And finally, as if I was going backwards, I got myself an 06 sv650s.

If I had gotten the sv650 first I probably wouldn't have bought any other bikes. But I'm still glad I did things the way I did because now I know a little more about what I like and what I don't like in bikes.

i dont know, it just came with it. besides the turn signals are in the headlight instead of being on the side of the bike.

first road bike 2002 Monster 620
good
-super easy to ride
-very fun to ride
-souded GREAT with the Fresco exhuast
-looked great
bad
-5spd trans = 7000plus RPM at 85-90mph
- suspenion too soft for my 200lbs plus gear lol
- got used to the speed pretty quick. Top end lacked, bottom end was great

second bike and one that i wish i kept 1998 Ducati 916
good
-handeled amazing
-fast by ferraci pipes sounded ooohhh baby
-the faster you went the better the bike got
-dry clutch
-fast, pulled hard in every gear.
-i loved this bike, why did i sell it
bad
-brakes didn;t have the best feel. Needed stainless lines
-cooked your ***, i mean damn it got HOT
-it made my back ache and my left leg cramp up
it's made for someone about 5'8 160lbs max
-not an everyday bike

current
2008 Aprilia tuono 1000r Factory
good
-ohlins all round, i mean good god, this is just as sweet as suspension gets. gobbles up bumps, yet firm with no nose dive under hard braking. Still need to tweak it some more jsut haven't had time yet
-4 pison 4 pad brembo brakes = WOW
-acceleration is just nuts any speed almost any gear just go, now
-soooo comfy. nice and up right with lots of room to move around on the seat
-excellent view behind and around you, perfect bike to pop in and out of traffic and makes you generally ride like a jackass
-this bike will be with me for a long time
bad
-rear brake sucks
-i only have 1300km on it

-my first bike....yamaha tz250, got it to learn wheelies/proper technique. sorry, no pics.
-my first road/street bike......2001 suzuki sv650, got it to do wheelies. pic circa 2002.

-second bike......2001 TL1000R, i got it to do wheelies. bought from police auction for $1500. didn't run/truely beat/no brakes, wheels or electronics. one week later, wheelies. still own.

-and finally....2007 ducati ten90-ate, i bought it based on looks alone and its ability to do roll-on wheelies in the first 4 gears. seen daily outside starbucks.

First Bike...1988 Kawasaki Ninja 600,
good: clean for a nearly 20 year old bike, ran well, no worries about dropping it
bad: clunky, loud

Second Bike...2003 Yamaha R6
good: much easier to sling, looked awesome,
bad: not enough low end and too much top end, tough ergos for long trips

Third Bike...2002 Honda 919
good: very easy to ride, extremely comfortable, loads of low end, looks awesome, candian model with non-USDM factory color (rare)
bad: non-adjustable suspension, low on top end power compared to other liter nakeds, canadian model so speedometer reads in Kilometers
