Default new swap

ok....im getting ready to swap a 95+ gsr in my 90 civic dx. can anybody give me any pointers as to which tranny would be good for me and which mounts would be best to use. and if u have anything else good for me to know...just tell me.

Well first off you should be using a cable transmission. If you can, find a YS1 with LSD (good luck), but any B-series cable tranny will bolt up to the motor. Other good choices for trannies would be the JDM S1 or J1, they can be found for relatively cheap. Hasport is probably the way to go as far as B-series bolt-in mount kits go. What will you be doing as far as wiring and ecu? Will you be using the GSR ecu or something else? If you are using the GSR ecu, you might want to look into getting some sort of OBD0 to OBD1 wiring conversion harness. Also, before you drop the motor in, change the timing belt, water pump, and put in a new clutch at the very least. Spend a little now or a lot later.

ok...thanx. i will most likely be going with the gsr ecu. i kinda want a lsd tranny...which cable tranny's come with lsd? thanx again for the help.
oh yea...do i have to get a zc hood or a hood with more clearance?
