Hey all of you guys who don't have the money for the DC Sports 84-87 CRX shoft shifter for $100+. I've found a way to use the 88-91 CRX/CIVIC short shifter (YOU CAN FIND AT ANY AUTOPARTS STORE)to fit into you 1gen REX. When you take out your old shifter here is a black rubber thing that goes around your shifter ball. The 88-91 shifter ball is to big. So all you have to do it sand or use a dreml (LIKE I DID) and take those 2 rubber bands off, and sand away. about a 1/4 inch down and put in your new shoft shifter!!! I know this works cause I have it on my 87 REX dx and it's works great no problems.

WARNING: JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SAND TO MUCH JUST TEST IT LITTLE BY LITTLE, AND OIL IT FOR A SMOUTH SHIFT.
