Default knocking noise when braking

Knocking/ rubbing noise when coming to complete stop. I've replaced rf upper control arm it was loose. I machined my rotors checked all front end parts. Everything is tight. Pads aren't loose or anything. It only happens when coming to a complete stop. sounds like its in the left front area.

Help is always appreciated. Yes I tried the search function.

Thanks

double check that the sway bar bushings are good and tight and dont have any play in them.

I'll double check the mounts. They seemed ok. It happens when coming to a complete stop though.no load on engine or driveline. Once I get a rack open at work I'll pick it up and double check everything. I'm thinking lower ball joint maybe. somethings still knocking over bumps perhaps the sway bar as previously mentioned.

seems more likely a balljoint issue. double and triple check every bolt tho.

I probably have the same issue. It makes a pop sound when you slow down to a complete stop. I replace the whole hub assembly with an DA Integra one but if it still makes the same noise, it's probably one of the ball joint since mines shot.

This may seem like a no-brainer, but make sure your brake pads and calipers are secured. My rotors had about 1/2" of wiggle room and caused an awful racket when I came to a complete stop, then sometimes when I started again.

Have some one outside of the car and have them tell you exactly where.

If it's your crossmember you should make sure those bolts are nice and tight and it should solve that problem. After I put my IM cross member on it started poping a few weeks later, went back and the bolts had loosened up. It's working just fine now...

OP I doubt that this is your problem

Yes the calipers are tight. Pads do not float. I've yet to check on it again. Busy at work today. When you guys say cross member which one are you talking about? the one under the radiator that the radius rods connect into? Nothing on my car is aftermarket or modified with other parts from other honda's or anything of that nature.

Jack up the front of your car and check for play in the suspension. you should also be able to feel if the radius arm bushings are shot.

As I stated I don't think this is what is causing your noise but, yes it is the piece you are referring to.

Figured it out finally. Strut arm bushings worn out making the lower control arm rub on the steering gear cradle. A trip to the honda store and $35 later got 4 strut arm bushings, 2 collars and 2 lock nuts. Replaced all the bushing stuff and what do ya know. It pulled that control arm back to center and cured the knocking/banging noise over bumps and when braking. I do wanna replace the lower control arm bushings though since it moved, but thats another day. I think B16-CRX's reply to this (radius arm bushings), could've helped out if I logged on and read this post earlier but I was busy.

Thanks for the help!!
