Default clutch wont disengage and go in gear! need help!!! searched!

ok so yesterday i finished putting my motor in. i start and push the clutch down and it stays to the firewall, no pressure. so we bleed the lines and get it all set up. its good now the pedal feels great. so i try again, and now it wont go in gear! i tried several times, even bled the clutch a few more times and it still wont go! i look at my slave cyl and its not straight lined up with the fork. i put some washers there as a spacer to see if that fixes it because it looked like its not pushing the fork enough to disengage the clutch..STILL NOT WORKING! i need help!!

Maybe you need a new slave cylinder. Your clutch is definitely not dis-engaging, which is keeping you from getting it into gear.

you think so? it almost wants to go..the car will slowly creep but it wont go into gear unless i slam it really hard.will i have to bleed my clutch lines all over again...that took forever! i put in a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel too. and i know i put those on right. where can i get a new slave cyl from?

it was like this with the old one too. here's what it would look like if it was straight from underneath the car.

when i bolt it up its crooked. wtf.. i know the fork is in right. from above.

Pretty sure that release fork is nowhere NEAR being in far enough. Is it even engaging the TO bearing? If it is, are you sure that's the right fork for that transmission? Are sure that's the right slave cylinder?

The release fork can sometimes be difficult to get on the little pivot ball correctly. The spring on the back side of the fork has to get on there just right for it to stay and operate properly. Are sure you got the fork completely seated on the pivot ball with the spring capturing the pivot ball on both sides?

i know i did the fork properly i made sure of it bec it was sticking out even more the first time and i had to drop the tranny and do it again. the bearing hooks to the fork right...idk if its the right fork though....it came with the tranny when i bought it from a friend and worked the first time..but now after i put in this engine everything seems to be off. its the right slave cyl. i got it from napa auto parts for gsr. which is the tranny that i have. maybe its the wrong fork then..but how could it have worked b4 and not now?

hmmm wtf..i dropped the trans again today and it looked perfectly in there...i hate doing this.

oh and why is it, that when i remove the slave cyl from the trans, just unbolt it..not remove the lines...that the pedal gets soft again and feels like there is no pressure when i put it back on???

well it's not going to feel like there's any pressure until the slave is actually pushing on the fork, which pushes on the pressure plate. That's what gives the pedal the feeling of having "pressure" in it.

I know that, I was replying to him asking why the pedal was soft when he unbolted the slave but didn't remove the hard line.
