89 civic won't start
Hey Im new to the world of hondas I just bought a 1989 civic DX with the D15B2 When I bought the car it needed the distributor installed so I did that and put a new rotor button in it since it was missing. The car started up just fine and I drove it home. On the way home it started to sputter and almost stall out. I thought this might have been bad fuel so I put some good fuel in it and it started up and made it home. Now it won't start at all. I had the ignition coil checked it came back fine and i put a new ignitor in as well and still nothing. I read online to check the engine codes but when I turn the ignition to the II position the little LED doesn't do anything at all. no blinks or anything. The ECU fuse(15amp) under the hood appears to be ok. Now I am at a loss as to what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I hope I gave enough information about symptoms and what not. Thanx!!
are u sure ur getting spark from the plugs and r u getting fuel i would check those two things first before u give up lol and if i is a fuel issue it can be A the pump or B a clogged fuel filter if u need any help my myspace is http://www.myspace.com/ilovemandabear
checked fuel definately getting fuel but no spark whatsoever. i tried to check fault codes on ecu and nothing showed up at all no single blink or anything like i have read that it is supposed to do
what color is the coil? If its brown it's probably bad. Look for burnt trails of carbon. You can ohm the coil and it'll be within spec but still be bad.
