GSR cams in 1st gen B16???

GSR cams in 1st gen B16???

ok, these cams are cheap..60 bucks a set. are they worth it to upgrade from the dookie 1st gen b16 cams? is it a straight out swap? do i need the gsr cam gears? thanks for the help!

I think anything is better than 1st gen cams. Plus for $60, it's hard to go wrong. The cams are a straight swap.

has anyone actually done this? are there any negative effects, such as erratic idle or loss of low end power? thanks!

yes, I put a set of these in a friends B16 powered EF long time ago. The cams showed better overall torque & HP over the stock B16 cams. Its worth doing if all you can afford are those cams vs. type-R cams.
